Bay Area Enterprises (BAE) Inc. is a non profit public benefit business. Our mission is to provide training and services to adults with disabilities. We’ve been around since 1986 and were incorporated in that year. Our business activities are thrift store operations, refurbished appliance store, janitorial services, and drawbridge operation. BAE strives to provide business activities that provide jobs for people in need.

BAE has a daily average of 45 employees. Janitorial services has the largest amount of employees since BAE is providing this type of service at 33 buildings in the county. BAE is the only facility of its kind to provide services at a drawbridge. Employees operate the bridge for passing water vessels. That contract has been going since 1995 and has been a great place for employees to work.

BAE actively seeks donations. The funds are used to provide program and services to the disabled. The thrift store always needs usable donations of clothing, furniture, and anything that can be used by people who patronize the thrift store. The appliance store always needs large appliances. These appliances are refurbished and sold to the public daily at the appliance store. Donations are tax deductible according to IRS rules and regulations.
